Boxes and supplies can add up fast. Most of what you need can be found free or used.
Where to find boxes
- Local Buy Nothing and marketplace groups (people who just moved)
- Grocery, liquor and book stores (ask when they unload deliveries)
- Friends and coworkers
- Your workplace's recycling
Pack for less
- Use towels, linens and clothes as padding
- Pack in suitcases, laundry baskets and bins you already own
- Use small boxes for heavy things like books
- Label each box with the room and a short contents list
