Leaving
- Cleaning or cleaning supplies for move-out
- Repairs to get your deposit back
- Overlapping rent or mortgage
- Cancellation fees for services
Moving
- Truck rental or movers, fuel and mileage
- Boxes, tape and padding
- Helpers, food and drinks
- Travel, hotel and meals for long moves
- Pet and plant transport
Arriving
- Security deposit and first month's rent, or closing costs
- Utility deposits and connection fees
- Basic supplies: shower curtain, cleaning things, light bulbs
- Takeout for the first few nights
- Driver's license and vehicle registration if you change states
