Off-season, midweek and mid-month usually cost less.
Demand for trucks and movers rises and falls through the year. If your dates are flexible, you can often save.
Usually cheaper
- Fall and winter, outside the holidays
- Weekdays rather than weekends
- The middle of the month, when fewer leases end
Usually busiest
- Summer, especially June through August
- The first and last days of the month
- Holiday weekends
Book early
For busy-season moves, book trucks and movers several weeks ahead. Last-minute bookings cost more and limit your choices.
